Milestone for Joel Schwärzler! At the ITF M15 tournament in Antalya (Tur), the Harder player reached the semi-finals of a tournament on the ITF Men's Tour for the first time this year and will thus make a nice leap forward in the ATP ranking, where he is currently still ranked number 1061.

And he reached his first semi-final in an extremely confident manner. Schwärzler made short work of 16-year-old German Justin Engel - the Ländle ace won 6:1 and 6:0 in less than an hour. "It was closer than the score," said the 18-year-old, "but I was able to play better than him in many important situations. It was a solid performance from me."

Schwärzler goes into the semi-finals as the underdog, he will now face the Romanian number two seed Sebastian Gima (ATP 454), who defeated the Italian Marco Miceli 6:4 and 6:1 in the quarter-finals without any problems.
