Skiing accident in Lech
Winter sportswoman did not notice broken bones
In Lech, a skier collided with a young snowboarder at a slope junction on Tuesday afternoon. However, the consequences only became apparent later.
The two winter sports enthusiasts collided in the Oberlech ski area on piste number 200 directly at the turn-off to route 209. Both the woman and the teenager fell, with the former suffering the worse injuries. The boarder, who was around 16 years old, immediately enquired in German about the skier's condition. She told him that everything was fine, whereupon the teenager continued his descent.
However, everything was by no means fine: as it turned out later, the woman had suffered a broken bone in her shoulder. The unknown snowboarder and any witnesses are therefore asked to contact the Lech police station (Tel. +43 (0) 59 133 8105).
